For all of those who still use libraries with the Dewey Decimal System, I recently created a new version of the Dewey Decimal System caveman slideshow … leave me a comment or send me an email, and I’ll send it your way. The cartoon above is an example of the quality of the images. Rex May over at his cartoon blog

For you librarians, go visit the LM_NET wiki for a copy of the Dewey slideshow …

Becoming a librarian for me came late in life … 1998 to be exact; eight years after my military retirement.
I became a Librarian of Fortune working for the highest bidder – I even spent a year in Connecticut – the highest-paying school employee state in the nation.
Missed home and the family; came back after a year and no renewal contract… (sigh)

  3. Hello,
I’m the librarian of a private school and we do indeed use Dewey. I’m teaching an Info. Lit. class next term and I’d love to take a look at your slide show to potentially use with students.
    Thank you!
    Heather

    • Certainly Heather,
I’m at work at the moment; I’ll send it out this evening… after I go get the grandbaby for a weekend of giggles and grins with her…
I really should load it online somewhere. . . hmmmm…

Until that time … Earl J.
